Most mattresses are made from petrochemicals, synthetic materials and chemical additives. Our bodies can tell the difference. After all, we spend one-third of our lives in bed surrounded by these materials. Sleep is a time for our bodies to find harmony with its surroundings, a harmony that can only be achieved with certified organic materials. Just like organic vegetables are free from harmful chemicals and pesticides, so too are mattresses that qualify for organic certification. This means less chemical exposure for you, and a healthier planet for us all.

Research has consistently shown that a good night sleep helps fight disease, as it strengthens the immune system. Sleep is a very important factor to maintain an overall good health.

Many, however, have difficulty achieving a good night sleep. With their mattresses not giving them enough back support and comfort level, but also the materials they are surrounded by while sleeping can also make a difference.

Superior comfort comes with natural materials, and our bodies will know the difference and feel it when it is no longer surrounded by  petrochemicals, synthetic materials and chemical additives. After all would your immune system rather be fighting foreign chemicals while you sleep or healing itself instead. Your sleep environment should be a safe haven from all the chemicals you’re bombarded with on a daily basis.

Naturepedic mattresses are made with organic and non-toxic materials instead of chemically questionable materials. In particular, all fiber, fabrics and latex sap (with limited exceptions) must be made from certified organic materials that meet the National Organic Program (NOP) standard and are processed in accordance with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOT) or the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS). All other components (such as innersprings, fire protection, etc.) must meet stringent non-toxic standards.
